Dr. Arunava Ghosh completed his DM in Endocrinology & Metabolism at IPGMER & SSKM Hospital, Kolkata — one of eastern India’s few centres offering the qualification — after an MD in General Medicine at North Bengal Medical College.
Alongside diabetes and thyroid disease, obesity and weight management form a large part of the practice. He now divides his week between hospital OPDs in Kolkata and a rotating circuit of district chambers, from Uluberia and Tamluk to Cooch Behar and Rampurhat. The pattern is deliberate: endocrine conditions need long-term follow-up, and follow-up only happens when the clinic is reachable.
